Don Juan Lira Castro has been a master saddler and craftsman since he was twelve years old. Thanks to his family vocation as a shoemaker, he began his business in the downtown area of the city of León, Gto; At that time, Don Juan Lira met with the head of the cow town council secretary who proposed holding an exhibition of crafts in the town hall to learn about his work, for which he gathered his friends and in three days they set up the exhibition, upon seeing The quantity and quality of its products are supported and recognized by the municipal president of León José Arturo Lozano Madrazo at that time, to give greater importance and value to this beautiful profession.

Currently he continues working and has inherited the taste for art to his children, established in the zona Piel, being one of the pioneers of the most important commercial area in leather, footwear and leather goods in Latin America "Zona Piel".
